Travel Altimeter & Altitude App Reviews

I wear a watch that more or less tells me the altitude. Happily, this app isnt affected by changes in barometric pressure. I wouldnt be without it.

You can use GPS altitude thats utterly useless in any app or GPS or you can use the mapped elevation datum -far far more accurate. Nice straight forward altitude app.

Simple. It only does two things (three if you count the flashlight) and it does them well. One screen with easy-to-read numbers showing your elevation and your longitude and latitude coordinates. One minus is it comes with only one background and the numbers are hard to read. If you want a different background they charge either 99¢ or $1.99 which is a bit petty IMO. I think it looks best with a simple one or two color BG. It would be nice if it had a simple compass too. Then I wouldnt have to have another app for that. The REAL BEAUTY about is the SIMPLE INTERFACE.

Works incredibly well. Quick, responsive, accurate and it doesnt crash. Thanks for this iPhone gem. Recommended to all who love to travel!

Nice to know the elevation anytime!

This app is so easy to use. I use mine due to heart conditions so I dont exceed the elevation. Couldnt be easier to use just click on app and information and gps coordinates are there also.

It gives me everything I need to know, and nothing of what I dont.

Hiking!! How high? Ok, heres the answer. Altimeter !! AND screen shot w altitude ( a totally worth-it upgrade!! Cmon whats 1.99$.) sent to friends is beyond fun. Way fun. And I take a look at bottom of ... Masada, ie. And then at the top!!! 1300 difference. 130 stories I just climbed. !! You are numb if you dont like this app.

Love this. We travel a lot and its fun to check altitudes where we visit.
